It is officially awards season: the Golden Globes, the Grammy’s, Screen Actors Guild and the Academy Awards.  From the red carpet to the grand finale, we eagerly anticipate our award show of choice to see what outstanding entertainment performances will be recognized.

But January isn’t just about entertainment because January is also awards season in the Real Estate industry. Here’s a shout out to some Allen Tate REALTORs who have been recognized by the peers for their performance in 2010:

• Sandy Johnson, a REALTOR in our Rock Hill office, was recognized by Piedmont Regional Association of Realtors as their REALTOR of the Year.
• Betty Smith, a REALTOR In our Green Valley office, was recognized by the Greensboro Regional Realtor Association as their REALTOR of the YEAR
• Amanda Jones, Branch leader of Dilworth and Sales Manager of Southpark, was recognized by the Charlotte Regional Realtor Association as The President’s Committee Chair of the Year Award winner.
• Sandra O’Connor, Sales Manager of Green Valley, took home the Greensboro Regional Realtor Association Hall of Fame award.
• Marion Bunge, a REALTOR in our Green Valley office, was awarded the Greensboro Regional Realtor Association Fellows Award.
• Ashley Richardson, a REALTOR in our Huntersville office, was awarded both the 2010 Charlotte Junior Chamber Rookie of the Year Award and Project of the Year Award.
• Rick Westover, REALTOR, instructor, and Interim leader at Winston Salem, won both a Greensboro Regional Realtor Association Fellows Award and the President’s Award.
• Nancy Radtke, a REALTOR in our Green Valley office, was the Greensboro Regional Realtor Association Committee Member of the Year award winner.
• Kathy Carpenter, a REALTOR in our Green Valley office, was awarded the Greensboro Regional Realtor Association William Seawell Sr. and Jr. Award.

And we would also like to recognize these outstanding performances in 2010:

• Lyn Kessie, Branch Leader of our Providence office, completed her term as President of the Charlotte Regional Realtor Association.
• Bill Guill, a REALTOR in our Green Valley Office, completed his term as President of the Greensboro Regional Realtor Association.
• George Bell, Master Instructor for the Allen Tate School of Real Estate, completed his term as President of the Winston-Salem Regional Association of Realtors.
• Donna Connor, a REALTOR in our Shelby office, is serving the second year of a 2 year term as President of the Cleveland County Association of Realtors.
• Holly Lindsey, Branch Leader of our North Elm office in Greensboro, completed her term as Treasurer of the Greensboro Regional Realtor Association.

We currently have Board members on all 9 Board of Realtors that we are members of; we currently have Board members of 5 MLS’s we are members of;  we currently have 4 members of the North Carolina Association of REALTORS board of directors; and we have many other committee members and chairs among the Allen Tate family.
