On September 27, Tate Realtors® and Leaders will be traveling from different locations across North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina to converge at The Point for the 13th Annual Allen Tate FUNDay.
What is FUNDay you may ask? Well, let’s start with the goal which is to play together all the while raising money to help ensure that students enrolled in public schools across the Carolinas receive the best education possible. As I said in an earlier blog post, the perception of the education in the neighborhood school determines appreciation of the homes surrounding those schools.
This Tate tradition, one that is near and dear to me, has been going on for over 12 years. Thanks to the attendees, sponsors, and our generous team; we have raised more than $1 million for public education organizations – all the while having fun participating in individual activities (tennis, cornhole, summa wrestling and continuing eduction to name a few) and purchasing items in auctions throughout the day. The money raised during the “day of play” goes back to school systems in the communities where our Realtors live and work.
Education foundations, individual schools, principal leadership programs, Junior Achievement, Classroom Central, and Communities and Schools are all beneficiaries of this annual event. Allen Tate Company is passionate about public education and understands its critical importance to quality of life and economic development in our communities and each year I am continually humbled by the support and generosity of our Tater family.
